March Workshop

OK Guys, we are to have a couple of workshops in March. I figured that basic stuff like C++ scratch, and Photoshop scratch are things that have to be done by us, because its idiotic to invite a guest lecturer to teach us that a C++ program starts with include and then we have functions and classes.... junk.

So, what all do we have in March? Lemme think:

1) C++ Basics (for all)
2) Probably VB Basics (for those interested)
3) Photoshop Basics (for all)
4) FrontPage and HTML Basics (for those interested)
5) (Have to do this..) Office XP Tips 'n Tricks
6) Digital Music Basics
7) Demonstration of VS.NET (hopefully) by Mr. Ashwani Sharma.
8) .....

Dates: Our Exams finish on 14th. Classes 6-8 finish on 16th. So we can have our workshops from 17th or something then. School will be closed, but can be opened for us. Morning. Intel Lab. We'll be running a Remote Desktop software, so that the *students* sit on the Intel-# nodes, and they see whatever is being done on the server, where the *trainer* sits. So all the *students* open the reqd softwares and apps and the server keeps doing things that the nodes see, and then the *students* try on their own. How about this? I have the RD software. I'll get it to school soon.

Say,
* March 17: Digital Music Basics
* March 19: C++ Basics
* March 20: VB Basics (for interested)
* March 21: Photoshop Basics
* March 22: Office XP
* March 24: FrontPage and HTML (for interested)
* March ##: Visual Studio.NET

Lets think over.

PS: 'The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring' is coming tonite on HBO @ 9 PM. :-)

Gaming is something that comes only from practise.. of course, same applies to other streams. But seriously, I've been a gamer, and I know that tips 'n tricks sort of stuff are things that can come only by playing. Look at Roshan. Picked up UT like a fish out of water (I'm copying the phrase from Gorge's desc :-) ) and became *proficient* in UT in just 2 weeks.

Probably we COULD have a gaming w/s in the future (we'll have *FULL* attendance in that one ;-D ). But I don't think we could fit it in March. Don't worry Som, I am not one of those who underestimate the importance of having strong gamers in the team. You're in because of that, and I've not forgotten the candidates suggested by you.

OH and Fireworks, sure... just like the importance of Gaming, I do not underestimate the importance of Fireworks. I can't! Out Logo, our Clan site graphics, ad over 90% of the graphics associated with the clan is the handiwork of Mr. Ayush Gupta and his faithful comarade Mr. Fireworks. :-) We'll have fireworks for those interested in graphics. Photoshop basics is something that all SHOULD know. You should know what layers and stuff are. Even quizzers will find that knowledge useful sometimes. Same for programers. Web-D comprises of Graphics too... So just like the Gaming w/s, lets have Fireworks at the second round of w/s. Lets get the w/s concept kickstarted!
